UNESCO’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector initiative is founded on three principal objectives: 1) Promoting the free flow of ideas and universal access to information, 2) Promoting the expression of pluralism and cultural diversity in the media and world information networks, and 3) Promoting access for all to information and communication technologies.
PC Refurbishment:
PC refurbishment is an initiative of UNESCO that each country participates in, with the purpose and aim of mobilizing donors of second hand PCs, the maintenance of the refurbished computer, along with other broader tasks. In embracing technology and literacy, UNESCO is confident that such initiatives add value to human capital and institutions.
